I LOVE your poetic writing & fantastic guitar playing...when did you start? I wanted so bad to learn how to play the piano and took 3 yrs of guitar but could never become the natural artist as you are! You're brilliant! I so enjoy your cd ^Roll^ and look forward to buying all of the rest of your work!
Wow, thanks so much! I started on piano when I was about 7 and moved to guitar when I was about 14. You just have to play as many hours a day as you can. For me, the guitar was my best friend through times of trouble and loneliness. Just play every day and enjoy it! :-)
I would so love to come to Italy, hopefully next year! Where is a good venue to play? Thanks!
(I thought of Little White Cat so sending it on to you.)
White Cat - Poem by Kitty Smith
Fluffy white as fresh fallen snow.
Golden eyes that glisten, a gilded glow.
I found her an orphaned shelter cat,
On a folded towel, trying to nap.
I brought her home, where she sniffed around
Accepting of the accommodations, she found.
We spent our first day, with her curled in my lap
After a giant yawn, she took a long winter nap.
Her name unknown, as she could not tell.
I surmised her name must be Snowelle,
Being white as snow and Christmas just passed,
My loss of Taffy left a loneliness, I couldn’t let last.
A youthful ball of white fluffy fur
Lying on my lap with a musical purr.
Snowelle seemed to be saying a simple thank you,
I hated those barking dogs, that place was a zoo! —
That's lovely thanks! :-)
Dear Anne, I just love your work and you truly are one of our greats in talent, style, skills, art and music. I have a question! Over the years I have also been excited about Ruth Davies that awesome bass player who for many years has been linked with Elvin Bishop. To see yourself and her together ripping it apart would be a dream come true. One lives in hope. Keep on Rocking
That would be terrif! :-)
I put the cover together but the paintings are by Connie Schwarz :-)
Oct/Nov this year! www.annemccue.com/shows.htm
Hey, Anne. Wanted to see if you will be coming back to California any time soon. Missed the show you played in San Francisco last year. I think it was the middle of the week and "life of a parent"... lol. Hope you hit up the City or Sacramento area soon. Thanks for the great tunes!
It's hard to get out that way, but I hope so, Thanks! :-)
